I want to add a pop of color to my living room. What color goes well with beige and brown?

I have a beige sofa and love seat with brown small pillows at each end. Also there is a brown coffee table as well as end tables. I want to add a third color but don’t know which color to go with. Also should my curtains be brown? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your curtains…unless the room is large should blend with the wall in a texture such as and open weave. Add color to the curtains with tiebacks, glass beads make great tiebacks. As far as a color…There is really no accent color that will not go. The beauty of an accent color is you can go from deep purple around the holidays to lilac in the summer to a harvest green in the fall to sherbet orange in the spring – or what ever floats your boat.

Another way is to look around your house for varied colored clothing, even get scraps at a fabric store, then place it over the pillows or in a bowl on the table, step back and see what colors work with your lighting and decor. Try things you wouldn’t have thought of..such as eggplant or cobalt blue.
